About us
We’re Melvin & Ana Melons, a married creative duo building a space where curiosity, pleasure, ethics, and rebellion can coexist without apology.
Yes, there’s smut here, and more to come. We write intentional, consensual, and literate smut, but it doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Our work lives at the intersection of desire and worldview. We write about sex because bodies are political, pleasure is moralized by power, and intimacy is one of the first things authoritarian systems try to control.
This site is a home for stories, essays, and commentary that push back against theocratic thinking, sexual shame, and rigid hierarchies. Whether those hierarchies are enforced by religion, tradition, or cultural inertia, we approach these ideas through progressive politics, modern Satanism, and an unapologetically humanist lens that values autonomy, consent, empathy, and joy.
Our fiction explores power dynamics, devotion, exhibitionism, and surrender not as exploitation, but as chosen experiences rooted in trust and communication. Our nonfiction writing and blog posts expand that same philosophy outward, tackling topics like anti-theocracy, bodily autonomy, cultural hypocrisy, creativity, relationships, and the quiet ways people are taught to feel small.
The Blog
The blog is where everything comes together.
It’s where we step out of narrative and speak plainly about politics, religion, art, sex, and the systems that shape how we’re allowed to think about all three. Some posts are reflective, some are sharp, some are funny, some are angry, and some are deeply personal. All of them are honest.
If the fiction is the ritual, the blog is the sermon, minus the bullshit.
Why We Do This
We believe pleasure is not frivolous.
We believe consent is sacred.
We believe no god, state, or ideology gets to own your body or your mind.
We write for people who are tired of being told what’s allowed to feel good, what’s acceptable to question, and what parts of themselves should stay hidden. For readers who enjoy smut with substance, politics with teeth, and sarcastic spirituality without submission, we have what you’re looking for.
If you’re here for the stories, stay for the ideas.
If you’re here for the ideas, stay for the stories.
Come find out what all the purple lipstick is about.
